This class includes a 35-minute video where I walk you through the steps of making royal icing in real-time. Next, I teach you how to achieve the four main royal icing consistencies I use the most when decorating sugar cookies: Stiff, Detail, Hybrid, and Flood. I will teach you how to bag the icing, and how to cut holes in your disposable icing bags appropriate to the use of each consistency. I also show you how to cut a basic petal tip and leaf tip into your bag as well. You will also receive a PDF document of my royal icing recipe with images of the various icing consistencies as well as uses for them, a pictorial image for how to cut your icing bags, and a great cut-out sugar cookie recipe by Georganne Bell of Lila Loa Cookies.
